2017 Citizens Fire Academy

The Citizens Fire Academy (CFA) is a FREE - at no cost to you seven-week program targeted toward adults in Front Royal/Warren County.  Academy participants will receive an insider’s view of the Warren County Department of Fire and Rescue Services. Each night, CFA participants will learn about a different aspect of the Fire and Rescue Department ranging from emergency medical services and fire suppression to becoming a trained volunteer or career firefighter. Each participant will gain an understanding on the requirements in becoming an emergency responder in our community, receive hands on experience in emergency operations and receive valuable fire and life safety information to protect their family and home.

The CFA will meet one evening a week (Thursdays) for three hours per session (6:00 - 9:00 p.m.) for a total of 21 hours.  During this time, each participant will receive training as outlined below, each day a new topic will be discussed and each participant will perform a series of exciting hands-on activities taught by the experienced men and women of Warren County Department of Fire and Rescue.

Minimum Requirements:  Must be at least 18 years of age; live or work in Front Royal/Warren County; pass a Professional Background Investigation; must attend at least 15 hours of this program.
